Round three of the 2008 Tour d'Michigan took place on 20 September 08 at Erickson Park in Delta Township, Michigan. Known as the Tim Nickless Memorial Fun Fly, the event is dedicated to the event founder. A full schedule of events was provided for the enjoyment of the competitors and spectators. A beautiful Fall day greeted the participants who were rewarded a great day of flying. Two impeccably groomed grass circles, food and beverages, ample pit areas, convenient parking, and rest room facilities added to everyone's comfort and enjoyment. The Balloon Bust event provided an excellent venue for Rich Kacmarsky's Kamikaze skit and an eye popping raffle table topped off the day's events and sent many home with some fabulous door prizes. As with the first two round of the Tour d'Michigan, the event winners were presented with award certificates signed by AMA Hall of Fame Member Bob Gialdini. |
